R. L. White by letter from the First Baptist Church of Starkville. Sunday School Superintendent Otis Foster announced the Teacher Training Course for the week of Oct. 27-31.

All workers and prospective workers are urged to make plans to attend these classes. Books to be offered and teachers for the classes will be announced Sunday. Our letter to the Newton County Baptist Association reveals total additions of 54 for the past year with 23 of these coming by baptism and a present total membership of 461. Total gifts for all purposes was $5,898.13, with $1,009.09 of this amount being given to missions and outside causes. Two more Sundays and our bond and interest obligation is due.

With each one putting forth a special effort to bring his or her pledge to date, we will be able to meet this obligation in full on Nov. 1st. The fine spirit of cooperation in our financial program enabled us to pay the first bond in the middle of the year, leaving only one to become due at this time and we have nearly enough funds to care for it at present.
